Externship Program

The externship serves as working experience, as well as a reference for future employment. As part of the program, students receive hands-on-training by completing a 120 clock-hour externship at a local dental site through MK Education.

The externship experience in a dental setting is performed under the supervision of a dentist, dental technician or dental assistant. Routine techniques are observed and performed. Students will be placed in pre-arranged dental offices with the understanding that they have had dental theory. The students should be allowed to work chair-side after observing the procedure and the doctor and staff feels the student understands the duties he/she is to perform.

MK Education has established relationships with sites (clinics and hospitals) nationwide to provide potential opportunities to complete this externship for all students.
